Melissa is a Director and Head of the Conveyancing Department who specialises in the registration of property transfers and bonds.  She has a passion for property subdivisions and consolidations and dedicates herself to provide all clients with a professional experience and finalising all matters as quick as possible.

Melissa grew up in Kuruman and matriculated at Kalahari High School.  She obtained her LLB degree in 2009 at the University of the Free State.  She started her articles at KBVS Attorneys in Kuruman and was admitted as an attorney in 2012.  Melissa joined the team at Duvenhage & Van der Merwe Inc in 2024 as Head of the Conveyancing Department.  

With over a decade of experience in legal practice, she offers clients a steady, solutions-driven approach grounded in both technical expertise and genuine care. She has built her career on a strong academic foundation combined with extensive practical experience across conveyancing, notarial work and the drafting of contracts.

Property transactions and notarial matters often involve significant personal and financial decisions.  She approaches each matter with the understanding that clients value not only accuracy and speed, but also reassurance and transparency. Her mission is to provide her clients the commitment to handle each transaction with the necessary professionalism and understanding each client’s unique circumstances.  Also to ensure that every transaction is finalized smoothly, within the required timeframes, and with a clear line of communication throughout.
